ST. GEORGE

Nestled along the mighty Maguagadavic River, St. George is ideally situated between Saint John and the US border and has an active business community that enjoys access to international markets.

St. George - A Community Strong.

St. George is known as “Granite Town” due to the area’s once bustling granite industry. Today, the town is a world leader in salmon aquaculture and the industry is a major employer in the area. Recent growth in the area has made St. George a commercial service area for the Village of Blacks Harbour and the parishes of St. George, West Isles (Deer Island) and Pennfield.

Kayak the Magaguadavic, unwind at Canal beach, discover the Canal covered bridge, visit the farmer’s market, explore the many walking trails or relax and enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants and shops in town. There are many things to see and do in St. George. When you live here, you will enjoy a slower, relaxed pace while still being within easy commuting distance to larger centres and international airports.
